Facelift Surgery Alternative

Want to get rid of those wrinkles around your eyes, but afraid of surgery? Don’t have a lot of time to recuperate but hate those deep lines around your mouth? Do you feel like you are too young for a facelift? If so, a Liquid Facelift may be right for you.

There are several reasons why we look older with time: sun damage to the skin, loss of facial volume, loss of skin elasticity, diet and stress. Some of these reasons for aging can be remedied with non-surgical techniques. Using multiple dermal fillers simultaneously is called a Liquid Facelift.

The upper half of the face is particularly susceptible to muscle lines, like the 11’s between the eyebrows, forehead lines, wrinkles on the nose and crow’s feet. Botox and Dysport, relaxes the muscles that allowing the skin to smooth out with time. These products typically last for 3 to 4 months.

Loss of facial volume frequently affects the middle of the face; like the grooves under the eye called “tear troughs.”  Loss of lip volume can lead to vertical wrinkles on the lip which can make lipstick run into the lines.  There are products made of naturally occurring substances found in your skin or bones that can be injected to replace lost volume. Radiesse, made from a protein found in bone, is useful in the deep tissues of the midface. Restylane, Juvederm Voluma, and Belotero are useful for more superficial places. These fillers lasts a year to a year and a half.

All of these techniques can be performed together in less than an hour with minimal bruising and swelling.  Think of all you could improve with a simple office visit!
