Permanent Makeup and Medical Aesthetician
By Michael A. Devlin, MD on April 15, 2015
For the past 19 years, Earlene Burr, has been applying permanent makeup to clients and patients in the Little Rock, Arkansas area. She has worked with Dr. Michael Devlin since 2002 and moved with him to his new location at Devlin Cosmetic Surgery in 2010.
Earlene completed her training in 1996 and has since treated thousands of patients. Her technique and expertise set her apart in the industry. Earlene was named “Best of the Best” by Arkansas Democrat Readers in the Permanent Cosmetics category based on service, commitment and drive for excellence having made an impact on the community. She is constantly expanding her knowledge of skin care and dedicates herself to helping everyone improve their skin. Earlene offers the most current skin care knowledge and customized skin treatments.
Treatments include: Permanent cosmetics, facials, micro-needling, micro-dermabrasion, waxing, makeup application after facial surgery. Her soothing touch and healing nature enable her to provide an exceptional experience.
Earlene is meticulous before, during and after any procedures. She reviews every detail of the procedure with her clients before she begins. She uses a special gel to numb the eyelids, lips or brows before the treatment. If needed Dr. Devlin is available to provide dental blocks for those patients where more numbing is needed. For eyeliner she says that she places tiny “pieces” of color between the lashes. Before and after photos are a part of every procedure to demonstrate results.
Earlene is the go to person for after facial surgery skin care. She is up to date on the best skin care products that will keep your skin healthy looking after such procedures as face lifts, laser and chemical peels.
Additionally, Micro-needling has become very popular at Devlin Cosmetic Surgery since Earlene introduced it just a few years ago. This is typically a series of several treatments that dramatically improves complexion and acne scarring. Since it was introduced we have found that surgery scars can be dramatically improved with micro-needling as well.
“I follow my patient’s closely after surgery to make sure that their scars are healing appropriately. In the past, if scars became red or raised, then most often it required a scar revision. Now, due the success of micro-needling I very rarely perform scar revisions. Earlene’s professionalism, expertise and attention to detail is so closely matched with mine,” explains, Dr. Michael Devlin. “Earlene helps to build the confidence of our patients and enhance their lifestyle, everyone wins.”
