Micro Needling Little Rock, Arkansas
Do you have acne scars, stretch marks, fine lines or wrinkles, uneven skin tone or texture, or large pores but not a lot of time for an intensive procedure? Then Micro Needling may just be the procedure for you. Micro Needling is a revolutionary treatment that provides the benefits of a skin resurfacing laser without the downtime. This gentle treatment could be perfect for someone on the go who wants to rejuvenate his or her appearance.
Dr. Michael Devlin at Devlin Cosmetic Surgery in Little Rock, Arkansas, has been providing Micro Needling to patients who wish to undergo less invasive procedures such as lasers and chemical peels. Micro Needling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment with quick recovery time and is designed to stimulate the body’s natural collagen production.
Your skin has a natural ability to renew itself. Micro Needling takes advantage of this ability by using tiny needles to create channels in the skin called fractionated injuries. The temporary channels trigger the skin to create new collagen. It is through the creation of new collagen that results occur. Scars and fine lines look smaller and the skin appears refreshed.
If you have any of the following you may be a candidate for Micro Needling:
- Acne scars
- Surgical scars
- Chicken pox scars
- Stretch Marks
- Wrinkles and upper lip lines
- Sun damaged skin
- Large pores
- Uneven skin texture
Patients will experience an improvement in skin tone, tightening of the skin, and an overall improvement to the skin’s condition and appearance. This treatment is also ideal for those looking to improve acne and other types of scarring as well as individuals with skin conditions that prevent them from being eligible for other forms of skin rejuvenation.
How Does Micro Needing Work?
Micro Needling works by stimulating the body to produce its own additional collagen in response to the delivery of micro-needles into the skin. The device looks like a roller studded with very fine needles. It breaks down old tissue, by creating pin point channels on the skin, which helps to stimulate new collagen, resulting in refreshed healthier looking skin.

How many treatments are recommended?
Most patients see improvement after the first treatment. However, a series of 3-6 treatments is typically recommended to provide the best results.
How far apart are the Micro Needling treatments spaced?
Optimal treatments are spaced 4-6 weeks apart to allow for healing.
