Woman getting microneedling treatment

Microneedling

Now that we have HD cameras in our phones, it can be easy to notice every fine line or acne scar. Some patients are perfectly happy with their skin texture, but if you wish you could smooth out pits or marks, you have help available. Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Michael A. Devlin and his Little Rock, AK, team offer minimally invasive microneedling to noticeably refresh your skin.

The Key to Microneedling: Collagen Stimulation

You may have spent time applying lotions, patches, and face masks on your skin, only to see minimal changes — if any at all. That's because most over-the-counter treatments simply don't have the capability to change your skin tissue. They also may not be able to effectively target and stimulate collagen.

Wondering what collagen is — and why it's so important? Collagen is a natural protein that our skin produces, which keeps it looking fresh and youthful.

As we age, it decreases; however, microneedling uses a roller tool to make tiny pricks in your skin, temporarily stimulating collagen in affected areas. This method then gives the skin a chance to heal and rejuvenate.

Enjoy The Benefits Of Microneedling

Microneedling is often combined with procedures like chemical peels, injectables, and laser skin resurfacing but it has plenty of advantages as a standalone treatment.

Targeted Treatment

If you have wrinkles or fine lines, neuromodulators are likely the first treatment you think of. Still, they only address part of the problem: facial movement. Microneedling, however, will directly target and enhance the areas of your skin that you wish to refresh.

Affordable Price

Compared to treatments like injectables and laser skin resurfacing, microneedling is a more cost-conscious option — without sacrificing safety or quality. We also accept certain types of financing, so that you can find the treatment you've been wanting on a budget you can afford.

Hypoallergenic Care

Fillers and other injectables are some of the most common treatments used for fine lines, but some patients with allergies may not be candidates. Microneedling is a hypoallergenic option that can rejuvenate your wrinkles, worry-free.

If you're curious about the effectiveness of microneedling and live in Conway, Hot Springs, or nearby, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Devlin can explain more during your consultation. To begin, contact our Little Rock cosmetic office or call

How Microneedling Works
At Our Little Rock Practice

From enlarged pores to wrinkles, we can refresh your skin using microneedling.
This versatile treatment can be used across your face and scalp, and even on the rest of your body.

Consultation

Dr. Devlin will take the time to get to know you at our Little Rock office or during a virtual consultation. Not all patients are candidates, while others may need to wait a bit before they're eligible. Our surgeon will explain your options, answer your questions, and help you create a customized treatment plan.

Numbing Cream

Once it's time for your session, we'll keep you completely comfortable with a simple topical numbing cream. At most, you'll feel like you have a slight sunburn, but the sensation should go away within a day or two.

Microneedling

We will use a roller tool to make small nicks on the surface of your skin, right on the targeted areas, like acne scars, stretch marks, or sun spots. This stimulates the formation of collagen and encourages the affected skin to heal.

Healing

Microneedling is hypoallergenic, and many patients enjoy treatment with minimal side effects. Redness is perfectly normal, and usually subsides in a day. Other less common side effects range from color changes to cold sore reactivation.

Touch-Ups

Microneedling gradually smooths and lightens the surface of your skin over time, so we'll schedule your appointments every four to six weeks until you're happy with your results. Patients typically return to our practice three to six times before their treatment is completed.

Can't Make It to the Office? Try a Virtual Consultation

We know our Little Rock, Conway, and Hot Springs patients have busy schedules, so we're happy to make things a little easier for them. Dr. Devlin offers virtual consultations, including a quote, so you can explore microneedling from your home, workplace, or anywhere else in the world.

Making Microneedling More Affordable
With Multiple Payment Options

Your consultation will include a quote, so that you have all the information available to plan your treatment. We feature several different payment options for your microneedling treatment. They include:

Cash or Check

Patients are welcome to pay for their microneedling sessions in cash, or with a check.

Credit Cards

Our Little Rock team takes major credit cards like American Express, Discover, and Visa.

Financing

Dr. Devlin accepts financing from two different lenders: Advance Care and Med Loan Finance, so that you can pay at your own pace. Advance Care doesn't have punitive late fees and it can take just a day or two for application acceptance. Med Loan Finance includes low-interest options and proudly helps patients with varying credit scores.

A Simpler Way To Refresh Your Skin

Collagen induction therapy is a minimally invasive way to rejuvenate scars, fine lines, and stretch marks. Similar options like laser skin resurfacing and chemical peels can take weeks or months for side effects like extreme redness to subside. Personalized microneedling from our cosmetic surgeon is comparatively discreet, with healing achieved in a week or less.
