BOTOX Cosmetic Procedure

To begin your BOTOX Cosmetic treatment, Dr. Michael Devlin will administer the injections to the targeted area. Typically, treatment takes about 10 to 30 minutes, and most patients return to work immediately after the procedure. A topical anesthetic may be used for patient comfort; however, many women report that BOTOX is virtually painless.

Recovery

Recovery from a BOTOX treatment is easy because it is a quick procedure– most people are able to return to their everyday activities immediately following treatment. While some may experience slight swelling and bruising, these typically go away quickly. Results can be seen within a few days after your treatment and may last up to about 3 months.

Dysport

Dr. Devlin also offers his patients Dysport to treat lines and wrinkles. Dysport is an FDA-approved alternative to BOTOX that temporarily improves moderate to severe lines and wrinkles between the eyebrows. For the procedure, the targeted area may be numbed before the procedure for patient comfort. As with BOTOX, the procedure is quick and patients can return to their normal activities immediately following treatment. Results of a Dysport treatment may be noticeable as soon as 1 to 2 days after treatment– faster than BOTOX. Further, Dysport may last up to 6 months.
