Benefits of a Brow Lift

While BOTOX® or injectable fillers may reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sometimes patients need a more extensive procedure in order to achieve their desired result. A brow lift may help improve the following:

  • Wrinkles on the forehead
  • Drooping brows
  • Heavy or drooping eyelids

Brow Lift Procedure

Dr. Devlin performs both the traditional and endoscopic brow lift techniques for his Little Rock, Arkansas patients. The technique used will depend on the patient and which method will achieve the desired results. For patients who have a significant amount of excess skin, a traditional brow lift may be recommended. A full coronal incision is used, ranging temple to temple. This allows for maximum lifting.

For patients who have slightly less excess skin to remove, an endoscopic brow lift may be used. Instead of creating an incision from ear to ear to lift the brows, a series of tiny incisions are made. Using an endoscope (tiny camera), Dr. Devlin is able to see various parts of the internal structures of the face. No matter which technique is employed, a brow lift can be combined with eyelid surgery for maximum facial rejuvenation.

Recovery

While many patients experience slight discomfort from a brow lift, it usually is minimal and managed by medication. For endoscopic brow lifts, recovery may be faster. Most patients report that they are back to work within a week of their procedure, feeling and looking their best. By following Dr. Devlin's specific instructions, you can ensure a quick and easy recovery.
